^ I know. I get the impression my parents are thinking of making a surprise purchase if you get what I mean. I also got the impression the purchase they were considering was a Ka. lol

Many of my friends (particularly female it has to be said) are more concerned about what colour the car is, and whether it has a CD player. (Dont slate me for giving female drivers a bad name, its just an observation )

Im really worried about this lower rating for Ka though. What can I say, Im an optimist who always carries an umbrella.

I would imagine the insurance is not too bad, and the running of it would be low cost too. Can anyone comment on this?

As for costs, it's about the lowest insurance you can get, doesn't use much petrol and tax is relatively cheap too!

If you can afford the new Ka, get a Grande Punto. Ridiculously cheap and it's 5 Star NCAP

The Ka is actually based on a 1989 Fiesta, which is based on a 1976 platform so considering its an antique its safety ratings are amazing.

TBH if you want a car, get it, don't worry about safety aspects, you only live once, hence why I'm guna buy a death trap that is a 106 gti. so much fun to drive

Trust me, I my mate got his to 100mph in just over 8 seconds and that was with 3 people in the car.

205 GTI has character though! It's something you can fall in love with, well so to speak. the 206 on the other hand

To me the 206 is much better equipped, more reliable, faster, safer, more comfortable.

Totally agree, I just don't like 206s, hated the design since it first came out, the GTI 180 looks good on paper but I just don't like that Peugeot, or for that matter any since the 106/306!
