Alloys ford fiesta zetec

Anyway she has taken the car back to Ford and they said that the rim was warped
And she needs a replacement and we all know how expensive that is.

If she's hitting things, then she hasn't 'warped' a rim, she's bent it. This is easily possible.

The word 'warp' suggests that it has deformed through heat, rather than impact.

There are places that will do alloy wheel repair – pushing moderate size dings out of a wheel is reasonably straightforward. Will probably cost around $150.

Failing that, check a wrecker for a matching wheel from the same model car. Should cost under $200.

You could buy a whole new set of rims for less. but they wont be factory ones. and will probably look better.

i work at Ford and can confirm the WS Fiesta Zetec alloys, 17 x 7'' 5 spoke, built between 07/08 – 06/09 are around the $550 mark and yes that's each, ( p/n 8A6J 1K007-DA ) i run a regional dealership in a shire who's motto should be "the valley of potholes" so i see my fair share of them!

    • be careful WS Fiestas built after 06/09 have a different stud pattern **

unfortunately its a combination of a very soft alloy combined with a very low profile tyre.
It is cheaper to buy a set of aftermarket alloys and tyres than what it is to replace the one rim.
There is a place on the goldcoast which i think is called "the rim doctor" can re-roll a slight buckle ( obviously not the one pictured in the second post LOL )
might be another option.

you should be able to get them alloy wheel repair places to fix it

Repaired aluminium alloys are not permitted for highway (road) use (in VIC at least).

Aluminium alloy is a lot harder and more brittle than steel. By the time it has flexed once and then been bent back, it is beginning to fatigue and can fail.

Buy a second hand replacement, or a set of aftermarkets.

From what has been posted, there should be plenty of part sets available out there.
